It looks like we were so busy in 2015 that we forgot to update the News Page!
So, here is a quick round up of what happened. It was a great year, we welcomed some new babies into the world and had some lovely wins in the show ring.
Hopefully 2016 will be just as memorable!
The year started off with a trip to Boston Championship Show in January under breed specialist Antonio Skaboullos (Cloudbuster).
Elmo - Renvall Thistle Do Nicely won his puppy dog class, qualifying for Crufts again, and was declared Best Puppy Dog.
Lupin - Renvall's Lupin For Love also qualified for Crufts again with her 2nd in her puppy bitch class.
Wallis - Renvall's Seen The Light was 2nd in her Limit Bitch class.
On to Manchester Ch Show under breed specialist Tony Johnson (Africandawns), and it was Riley - Renvall's Life Of Riley who was flying the team flag with a 2nd in Limit Dog.
A short break, then onto Crufts in March where only Riley was in attendence, but he did not disappoint, winning a lovely Limit Dog class under breed specialist Gill Marley (Myrlea).
We'd like to congratulate Riley's father Ch, Ir Ch, NL Ch & Int Ch Sumanshu Hotter N'Hot at Khados JW for his fabulous win at Crufts, and being awarded Best Of Breed. It was lovely to see Riley and Rutger together in the dog challenge.
A quick morning out to a local venue saw us at the TTA open show under Carolyne Scott.
Elmo was 3rd in junior, Lupin 4th in junior bitch, and Wallis was 2nd in limit bitch.
I (Aimee) was asked to judge the junior handling in the lunch break, and was pleased by the standard of handling, even from 2 newcomers wh had never had a go before! The overall best handler was Elise O'Connor.
Onto WELKS in April under all rounder Jackie Kitchener, saw Father and Son team Riley & Elmo strutt their stuff.
Elmo won both his classes - Junior & Novice and Riley was 2nd in the Limit class.
In May saw us attend TTBOC (Tibetan Terriers Breeders & Owners Club) Ch Show.
Riley was not entered as his owner is on the club committee, but the rest of the team were there. Elmo managed a 5th in junior, 3rd in novice and 4th in undergraduate.
Lupin was 2nd in junior. Wallis was 5th in limit and for the first time showing in 2015, Aoife - Mikudi Hot Lips for Renvall was 4th in a very lovely open bitch class. The judge was breed specialist, Pat Noujaim.
During the lunch break, the special awards classes were judged. These were judged by Vanessa Wegmann-Williams. In the Yearling class, Elmo was placed 2nd out of a class of 14. In the Open class, Wallis was placed 2nd out of a class of 11.
July saw Riley attend Leeds Championship show with friend Sally Wilson (Kalsang TT's).
Under breed specialist Veronica Green, Riley won his class. Well done Sally on handling such a strong minded boy for the first time and getting a great result.
Auguat saw us attend the TTA Summer open show under Jane Paradise.
Elmo was 3rd in junior dog. Lupin was 5th in yearling bitch and Wallis was 3rd in limit bitch.
There was also a welcome return to the ring for Ria - Renvall's Mass Wisteria owned by Margaret Lansdell who was placed 5th in a very large junior bitch class. Well done Ria!
Also in August was a trip to Paignton Ch Show under breed specialist, Philippa Gilbert (Gandaki). Elmo was 2nd in junior dog, Riley was 2nd in Limit dog and Wallis was 3rd in limit bitch.
On 21st Aug we welcome our 2015 litter, this time from our lovely lady Renvall's Beattie Roots and the handsome idiot that is Renvall's The Mighty Quinn!
Four puppies were born - Elton - Renvall's The Sequin King, Dolly - Renvall's Mannequin, Basil - Renvall The Equinox and our own Harleigh - Renvall's Harleigh Quinn.
After another short break from the ring to play with puppies, September saw us at Richmond Championship show under breed specialist, Heather Stickley (Walkamile).
Elmo storms into 5th place in his junior dog class. Riley wins the limit dog class and comes home with the reserve CC (his 6th). Lupin gets 4th in junior bitch class, and Aoife wins her 1st limit bitch class, qualifying for the Kennel Club Stub Book, giving her lifetime qualification to Crufts.
Also in September sees Riley and his owner Antonio showing at Darlington Chamionship show under all rounder Roger Bayliss. Riley was awarded 1st in limit.
Onto October, and it's Driffield Ch Show - a truly memorable day.
Elmo is 2nd in his Yearling dog class. Riley wins his limit class and is awarded his 1st Challenge certificate (CC). Lupin is 4th in her yearling bitch class, and Aoife wins her limit bitch class. Aoife then goes on to win her first Challenge Certificate!! Riley was then declared Best of Breed!! Thank you to breed specialist judge Adam Ashby (Togepi) for thinking so highly of the half brother/half sister team. We are so very proud of both Aoife & Riley.
Back on Earth, we also attend TTBOC open show in October where Elmo is 3rd in his yearling class and Wallis wins her limit bitch class. Wallis then goes on to win reserve best bitch! Well done Wallis! The dog classes were judged by Mike Kennett (Tyngeli) and the bitch classes by Jayne Darby (Jampel)
Riley attended Midland Counties to win a 4th in limit under Stuart Mallard.
Oct 31st saw a crazy day! TTA Champ show with breed specialist Sue Bird (Joyberna) in charge of the judging. Elmo wins his first post graduate dog class. Riley (shown by me) in his first open dog class was 5th in good company.
Also shown by me was new baby on the block Shechem Miss Dina Mita - Flora, owned by our friend Nikki Roman. Flora was 4th in her minor puppy class.
Also at the show, we organised "The Great British TT Bake Off" cake bake sale. TT people never cease to amaze me, and we had some 27 bakes entered into the competition and available for sale. A great effort was put in, and sales made approx £700 to go to the Irene & Stuart Chamberlain Memorial fund for genone sequencing in association with the Tibetan Terrier Association.
It was a long, hard days work, but i'm personally thrilled to have been part of such a mommoth achievement in aid of Tibetan Terrier health.
In November we popped out for a little open show at Stafford. The Sedgely & Gornal show was judged by breed specialist Karen Willoughby (Palshar). Both Elmo & Lupin won their classes, and Lupin went on to win reserve best of breed.
In December, our last outing for the year took us back to Stafford for British Utility Breeds Assoc Ch show under breed specialist Wendy Gardner (Kyipo).
Elmo was 2nd in his post graduate dog class, Lupin was 2nd in her Yearling bitch class and Wallis was 2nd in her limit bitch class.
A nice way to finish the year! Thank you to all the judges who have thought so highly of the Renvall Ravers in 2015.
